Work Ready

Phoenix House supports young people to gain and retain employment.

Young people want to become participating adults in our community, they want to belong.

We believe that all young people have the necessary skills and qualities to gain employment, often what is needed is greater clarity of what their strengths are, and new and fresh ideas of the employment opportunities that exist.

We develop individual life and learning plans to assist in aligning each young person’s strengths and interest to employment opportunities and training.

Our Services:

Job Preparation – resume development, interview practice, provision of suitable clothing for job interviews or new job starters

Workplace Experience – partnering with business and industry to provide work-based learning, internships and meaningful work experience

Mentoring Program– community volunteers provide mentoring and leadership for young people who would benefit from one-to-one employment and life-skills guidance

Phoenix House is exploring partnerships with business and professional organisations to provide employment skills and work placement opportunities. Please contact us if you wish to discuss potential placement opportunities you or your organisation can offer.
